BIBLE STUDY: One cannot exaggerate the value of the ‘Bible’ to any church group/congregation. The bible is the only source of valid knowledge as to the origin of the human family. Our ‘Bible Studies’ help us to find and apply biblical truths in our lives. A’ Programme of Study’ is created by the M.M.S.J,[Missions/Evangelism Committee].’ Each study is designed to draw members into the’ Word of God’ in order to help us experience greater intimacy with Christ. Through this we have seen lives transformed, entire family members, drawn them not only the church but to Christ himself.
auxiliary has special ‘Bible Study Timetables.’ These studies are done by the Ministers or Lay Pastor .Sometimes under directive the Presidents of these auxiliaries or Senior Elders conduct bible studies.
CANDIDATES CLASSES: The Ministers or Lay Pastor have total responsibility in preparing candidates for Confirmation, Baptism, or Reception of members to the congregation
.
New Beulah is one of the Central Moravian Churches in the Jamaican Province .The office of ‘The Department of Education, Missions and Youth’ [DEMY]; and ‘The Levi & Minette Watson Hall are adjoining buildings to the Gladys E. Bayley Hall.
This creates a buzz of Provincial Activities at New Beulah on a weekly basis e.g. ’Youth Rally eliminations, Provincial Planning meetings for Camps, Women’s, Men’s, Youth Fellowships and Uniform Groups.
Our building structure attracts many weddings and even funerals. We are called the ‘Church with the many doors’.
Our ‘Calendar of Events’ at [ABOUT US] is an indicator that our doors are hardly ever closed as we welcome activities from Sunday to Sunday.
We are also ‘Community Oriented’ as ‘The Skills Training Centre’, The Ebenezer Home for the housing of Street People in Mandeville, The meetings of the Returned Citizens Association and the Concerned Citizens Association are just a few meetings held at New Beulah.
Our ‘Prayer Life and Missions, as well as work among the youths are high on our agenda.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY-NEW BEULAH MORAVIAN CHURCH,
The Lord has been blessing us with great years in Children’s/ Youth Ministry. Our church is blessed by wonderful committed families who see the need for sowing early seeds of faith in their children.
.Our children’s/Youth Ministries follow an updated ‘Handbook’ revised and approved by Leaders and Organizers of these auxiliaries, and the Department of Education, Missions and Youth. The goal of this Manual/Handbook is to:
-
Create an easy guide for basic policies and practices for the use in our Sunday School, Children’s Church, Youth Fellowship and Uniformed Groups
-
’CHILDREN’S MINISTRY STRATIGIES: OUR MISSION:
-
To teach the ‘Word of God’ to the children/youths of New Beulah Moravian Church according to 11TIMOTHY 3:14-17.
-
VISION: The vision of our Youth ministry has always been :
-
To lead children/youths/young adults into a saving knowledge of and a relationship with Jesus Christ
-
To provide a clean, comfortable atmosphere for our babies and children to hear and understand a complete gospel experience.
-
To have our youngsters enjoy christian activites as they interact with each other.
-
FOUR (4) STEP STRATEGY: 1 GATHER; [PLANNING] Strengthening our process of making disciples particularly through these auxiliaries.
This goal is accomplished through:
ANNUAL VACATION BIBLE:This is the venue where children in and around Mandeville gather for one week at the Church Hall daily for six hours. Our Vacation Bible School is held in August at a time when most churches have already had Vacation Bible School. Holding VBS one week before the re-opening of the New School year/term gives us the opportunity to reach the children who were either at Summer Camps or Summer Classes or went on Summer Vacation. The closing ceremony for VBS is held as a part of the mornings worship service on the 'MISSION SUNDAY' in August. Parents and guardians of VBS students are officially invited to participate. Back-to-school gifts are given as prizes. Our follow up programme involves the entire community as cards of the children who make committment to follow the Lord are sent to the Pastor of the church the attended originally. Of course the ones not attached to any church are enrolled in New Beulahs Youth programm
CRADLE ROLL SERVICE;At the christing/blessing of babies, the members of the church along with the parents and god-parents vow to assume perpetual spiritual guardianship over the baptized babies/child/children..
The congrgation moreso the godparents are instructed in the obligations of the Christian Life. This obligation binds these brothers and sisters to a fuller extent of care for their children and godchildren
SERVICE AND GIFTS: This is held in the month of May Annually. Gifts or incentives are given to sometimes mothers, other times fathers, or god-parents form the babies. When the gift is for the babies it is always something the parents can keep to remind them in the years to come of the renewed vow they made.
Mrs. Sandra Grey-Smith and Miss Youlanda Patmore of New York and Georgia respectively have always been the doners of of these gifts.
We have room for other doner so interested in Cradle Roll
2ND SUNDAY SERVICES/YOUTH SERVICES: Each second Sunday of each month the Youth Ministry is responsible for the planning for service. Guided by the Suplementary Minister Rev. Clarister Johnson, Youth Leaders Mrs. Suzette Hardeen and Joan Harvey; the order of service is planned and the speaker for the day is invited.
JUNIOR/CHILDREN'S CHURCH:Pre-school Bible Lessons:
Basic Concepts of Sin & the Saving Love of God..
Objectives: To help pre-school students comprehend the extent of sin; To identify sin, it’s consequences, and initial reaction to it. To identify God as the only one who can cleanse us from our sins.

We accomplished this goal through;

-
INVOLVEMENT: Involved our children in worship and performance capacities.[This area has been very spiritual and emotional for all those involved over the year.

New Beulah has initiated a mammoth, meaningful ministry which has been successfully adopted by other denominations. This must motivate New Beulah to pursue this practical ministry for the all-inclusive development of Jamaica’s underprivileged youth.
Jamaica’s desert-like recession mandates that New Beulah continue this mission. It is the credit of the church that classes have been restated in the Gladys Bayley Hall. For what is the church but the healing arm of Jesus outstretched to His people? We have the plan. The building should be completed in the medium term because THE JOHN RUFUS WILLIAMS EDUCATION TRUST is serious in its efforts to help raise funds for the acceleration of the construction.
The harvest is ready! The labourers are many!
